Went to see a friend for a drink by the Chao Phraya. They had no Jack so had my first beer for quite a while. What Beer? Decided to take a leaf out of BLDs book.

My rental on my trip to see Mum in Maryborough and daughter in Brisbane last October. This is outside daughter's house.

Did the rental company take a 3 K bond from ya credit card for that car.

I rented a piss ant thing in Perth last year for one day and it was a regulation 3 K hold on my credit card.

Fook.

They told me that in the event of an accident even if it was not my fault they hold the 3 K until Insurance is sorted and then they would refund my 3 K. ?????

This was a major airport company.

I wanted the car for 24 hours . Never again.

In Thailand They take a 10 K baht hold, i like that much better.

They only told me because I grilled the Girl about what was this 3 K bolliks about and how does the Insurance work.

I bet plenty of people don't bother asking and then get one serious shock when confronted with this after an accident.

^^^I got a free bump from a standard Commodore to an SV6 at Perth a few years back. I was looking forward to driving it but when I took my wallet out I discovered that the taxi driver who drove me to the airport in Sydney had not given me my credit card back.

I lost the SV6 bump. I was unable to rent a car at all. I had to hand over a mountain of cash at the hotel just to be allowed to check in. Do not ever accidentally end up in a strange city on a business trip sans credit card!!

The SV6 Black was a beast. Loved the HUD GPS and speed sign warnings. The GPS was also real-time and would divert me from traffic incidents.

Still though man, bet you spent the change from the check in on a 6 pack and it went down bladdy divine.

It was actually a bit of a bugger as I was working at the naval base down the coast near Rockingham and staying at the Esplanade in Freo and I had to get a taxi every day.

Lucky it was not my coin!

^but I did pop across the road to the Little Creatures brewery for a few of their divine Pale Ales which you can watch brewing through the glass wall in the brewery shop, to drown my sorrows!

This was painted on a wall well before they started on the Mo Chit BTS terminus and head office. Despite fading and a scrawls, it still survives next to the car park gate on Phahon Yothin Road, complete with the original logo (near right) before they decided on the current one. So I'd put it at about 22-23yrs old.
