| In transit to Valhalla | Yes very cool, just talked with my dear old Mum yesterday night, it is the dark time now back home with real daylight only from around 8 in the morning until 3,30 in the afternoon, in our summers there is light and semi light 24 hours, the photo highlights that big difference on a years basis real good. And it looks amazing too.

| Thailand Travel Forum | Now that is a kick ass picture, very interesting and I have never really given that a thought. But have lived in Alaska and above the Arctic Circle and in Matanuska it was nothing to see a guy shingling his roof at 2 am. At my cabin in Idaho the sun hit my solar panels at 1030 and went down at 1430, and was shining at 0500 and set at 2200 in summer.

I just found it while I was goofing off on the web and thought it was interesting so I posted it here.

| OK, I started trying to figure out the answer to my question, but after I came up against these gems: ![]() ![]() describing something about sundials I decided it was going to be far too hard for my dumbass to do on a lazy Sunday afternoon (or any afternoon for that matter since it is ~25 years since I last dealt with trig.). I am going to assume the answer is no, stick to pretty pictures, and start drinking. |
