| 'It was just the manner in which he posted. He came/comes over somewhat arrogant and full of his own self importance. In saying that you get them on other forums too.' Quite right superman, if such a guy wants to spew his crappy restaurant all over the web he has to accept the brickbats along with the positive experiences posted. No restaurant gets it right all of the time and an amateur set up like FC is likely to get it more wrong than right, so why bellyache when customers put up the occasional bad opinion? I don't buy the 'you should have told him privately' idea as sometimes it's just not possible, and why should you have to anyway. |

| He probably does not have much time to live and when he goes the restaurant is finished. So why go on about it? He is very sick and I do not wish pain, suffering and death on anyone. His food may not be good, he may be a wanker, he may not be able to accept criticism about his food or him being a wanker, but the fact is he has positioned his place well in the bus terminal and has masterfully marketed the place. If you do a Google search on Surin his site comes up on the first page, even above the Surin government site. He does serve a variety of food and has a farang style store to cater to his customer's farang needs. He offers tours, motorbike and car rentals. So his food or his wankerness really don't matter. BTW, you guys that don't like him are giving him free publicity eight here on this thread.

| Whatever one may say about Martin personally or about the quality of his food the fact remains his establishment is the only venue in Surin where farang can attend sure in the knowledge they will find some company. Admittedly, many of the bush denizens who congregate there are probably beyond reason and the conversation can lapse accordingly but at least it is a place to meet and booze is booze wherever one goes. He is to be commended for lasting the course where others have failed miserably. Anyway, what do people expect in the depths of Isaan. If you want faux cordon bleu cuisine served up by a bisexual Antipodean stick to Bangers and the venues haunted by Fatima Twat and his nancy boyfriends from Adelaide. |

Are you thinking of fat Mike from Boston who fancies himself as a writer by any chance? | |
