Telecaster Deluxe?

Actually, according to the experts, better than a Telecaster Deluxe . This was, hold yer breath......, a Tokai Telecater, which were said to be better than Fenders own original product. ( Not that I would know ) So much so that Fenders managed to force Tokai to stop making them and they are now a pretty hard to find item and command a high price. Naturally, I sold it before it achieved this status but I managed to get what I paid for it. Interestingly, when I was in my late teens and early twentys, a Fender of any description could represent three weeks wages whereas now its less than two....( last time I checked ).
