Thread: Time to pay the piper.

Firstly, I was a bit worse for wear last night, due to the overindulgence of Chang, and if I offended anyone, then I apologise - (I have been trying to review my posts, seeking out anyone that is due an apology)

Anyway, after months of problems with internet and modems and routers.....dah dee dah, I finally found out what was causing the problem - My Dlink Router - after harrassing TOT on a daily basis, it was my problem.

Sadly, it was after copious ammounts of Chang that I sort of "came to my senses" - (I disconnected all Torrent downloads, and was using only the internet, when it started hanging again - I tried uploading a few files - and it hung)

At last I thought - the root of my problems!

It must have been late, but I remember putting on a few songs, when I woke up this morning, on the floor, the DLink was in a hundred pieces, (outside the window - scooped it up before the wife saw it) the music left on, but the amazing thing was, despite having absolutely no recollection, I had managed to disconnect the router, reset the modem to defaults, AND re key in all of the log in info!! It was back on when I woke up, downloading as usual. Amazing, Chang can make an IT expert of us all!

Anyway, with what felt like SEVERE concussion, I decided to put an end to speculation about router/modem, so I went off to the city and bought a new Belkin N150, - I think I was still pissed when I bought it - but it seems to work OK.

The worst part was, feeling like SHIT, I ended up in the Airport Plaza, with my son, watching G-Force "3D" Yes, with the glasses.

All I wanted to do was sleep, but every few seconds a giant hamster would jump out at me, what a nightmare - When I got out from the movie, I wasn't really sure of what was and wasn't reality, I had a splitting head, double vision (from the glasses) and the back end of a mother of a hangover! NEVER AGAIN, until the next time! - so if I bad mouthed anyone - sorry!

I promise you, I have neither a real TEFL, nor a fake TEFL, I do not teach English!, I have enought trouble with the damn language myself, without inflicting it on some poor unsuspecting Thai! - I cut grass, prune trees, clean water tanks, piss about with computers, but I do not try to teach English - oh, and I drink Chang - and if you were to take a look at the NEW Chang packaging, you would realise what a sophisticated drink this is... "Finest quality...Full flavoured Lager...it is even now called "CHANG CLASSIC!"...so there you go, I drink a CLASSIC Brew, not some piddling Singha! - and it is quite exotic too, especially for us Northerners, it's brewed all the way away in Kamphaengphet! A diamond of a drink!

I'm getting too old and vegetating, besides, it's a long drive back from Slutville, and the neighbours talk to the wife, so I am basically fucked - like the prisoner of Zenda...

But when she falls asleep watching the usual shite from Thai TV, and " Tattoo" is staying with the grandparents, I can occaisionally celebrate by playing overly loud music and smashing a router into a thousand pieces....I guess it's whatever lights your candle!

Tattoo - the dwarf from Fantasy Island - the same guy that was in James Bond - Man with the golden gun - (it's an affectionate name for my son!- when he stays away, I get some peace!- i.e. not listening to "Daddy this, Daddy that all night long!) He stays with the animistic elders and some of their spawn on a Saturday, as he does biking at some fucking ungodly hour in the morning...something like 4.30....Jes' not for me!

If it turns out that it was in fact the IT elves then be careful not to make them any tiny little clothes in return as they like running around in the buff.
