    Thunderbirds Are Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Tomorrow afternoon the Thunderbirds.......

    US Airforce Thunderbirds

will be at Don Muang airport from 1300 until 1500.

I'm told there's no seating just a turn up affair. Any further details I'll post them.

I'll be taking my boys and my camera along.

Should be good, slightly less skilled and less well trained and practiced than the Red Arrows. A good show no-the-less I'm sure. What are they here for - to see off Prince Andrew when he leaves Thailand tomorrow?

Come on up TFP, it's not like you work when you are at work.

Afterwards we could accompany you to work and have some suicidal chicken wings.

Different style show in a different airplane. The Red Arrows do more synchronized passing and have a bigger overall unit. Now I know what the hell the noise from buzzing jets was at my university for an hour this morning.

Thanks for the link Bobcock and the heads up..With the noise this morning I thought maybe that the inevitable had come into play possibly and it was that time again only with even higher implications..

Yes I agree, and in a decade or 2 with more intensive training, practice and a fair bit more skill the Red Arrows might be up to Blue Angels caliber but by then they'll probably only be flying drones..

They flew over my house several times this morning and woke me up, and again this afternoon. I managed to get a chance to go down the street to a better vantage point with my boys and see them a while and it is impressive and to know they are only flying about 2/3rds speed..

There must be other planes too though while I'm not a fighter jet aficionado I'm certain I saw some Migs and a few others though maybe even some Chinese fighters they were some distance away flying away from us..Is this possible? A neighbor told us just before we left that it is an airshow tomorrow so obviously more then just the Thunderbird's?

I'm told it is somewhere close by to the International terminal #1. Disappointingly though my sources actually work at the airport and were at Don Muang many years they can not be any more specific then that ..

My best guess is there will be people directing you once you get close enough and since there is not much traffic to speak of there lately likely it will be quite easy to follow the crowd ..

Exactly where is this Fire Lane 4 entrance. Is it east off of Pahonyothin or west off of Vipawadee Rangsit. Hell I know a great place just gotta pm the guy living there.

I dont think its there as there is not much access at Don. I have to drive past it anytime I go to BKK and there is no fire road 4. I used to drop people off a couple of times a month as well.
