Why are there so many advertsie here and rent this space banners here? Can't the owner find any advertisers? Who funds this site? And why?

advertisers are needed to keep any forum such as this going, and therefore the "rent this space banners" are justified
it is to the credit of the owners of this forum that they manage to keep it up and running with the limited number of advertisers here.
i guess that it must be tempting to sell out the membership and become a commercial sausage machine like thaivisa is.
would possibly become a better business venture if dd did that, but he has not, and we are all gratefull for the fact.
