    JJ Phuket Jet Ski Scum

So JJ's court case has been rescheduled to 5th October, the charge seems to be extortion with menace, now there is video evidence of him making around 70k baht out of UK and USA marines but it seems they are only bothering to charge him with the UK one and I really doubt they are bothering to investigate if this cnut has extorted money from other farangs.

So on to the poll and place your votes on what you think the outcome of the court case in Phuket will be.

Gavin Millar, the camera director, fled to the UK. The defence, if it goes to trial, will insist upon his attendance which the prosecution of course will not be able to arrange unless immunity against any charges is offered. That won't happen so.....

^Not sure about that, the police brought the initial charges against jj, but they weren't there to witness what happened, yet the court is allowing the police to bring charges against him, the marines haven't filed charges so by rights there shouldn't even be a court case or hearing, wonder what will happen

Pretty sure the police cant' base their case on a youtube vid, especially if jj says it wasn't him or that it was just play acting or that it is fictional, although if he goes for fictional he will prove both some of the police and the Thai press were right in their statements, should be quite interesting.

Gavin said he left Thailand to go back home. He did say it was a better option than staying in Thailand and possibly being in jail.

They can't insist, he is only a witness, plenty of other witnesses also, what they actually need is a victim to press charges, and they aint got one, it seems that the Thais like to be seen doing the right thing but nothing at all can become of it.

I shall go for an October 5th verdict of case dismissed and no charges against jj

They will give him some kind of punishment if only to give the appearance of upholding the law and try to take the heat off a little.
It will only be a slap on the wrists though.

^Punishment for what? The charge is extortion with menace, where is the victim and his statement? You think they can find him guilty of extortion with menace without a victim, without a police report from a victim, but purely on a youtube video?
He's gonna walk and thats if he even has to bother going to court Whole thing is just a sham to make it look like the Thais are actually doing something.

DD was there not something to with the gun, I read somewhere that there was a weapons charge to ? and if so had he not just been released for something with illegal weapons ? if that is true he might just face some jail time ?

It was only a bb gun, just considered a kiddies toy here, suppose thats the menace part of the charge, still need a complainant though, jj gets a good lawyer he is gonna make those police prove that the youtube vid is actually part of the bravo tv series and was filmed as reality and not staged, they aint gonna do that.

    oh, shit!
your real name's not really oscar, is it?
    my sympathies.

i'm with dd on this one: the whole thing will be swept under the carpet, and legally, with good reason, too.
seems everybody is too scared to stir it up for these thieving bastards, paid the "compensation" already, and are prepared to let them keep going with their little scams.
my daughter witnessed almnost exactly the same scenario in phuket a couple of years ago, ended the same way:
cops arrived, compensation paid, back to business.
why didn't the guys take his silly little bb gun and shove it up his fkkn arse?
now the prick will be off the hook, but the person who exposed this crap by way of the video, is facing SERIOUS charges.
    makes sense, doesn't it!
