    Outsiders trying to fit in

Being back in the UK, its great to be a regular part of the furniture - no sticking out like a sore thumb, and never any feelings of not belonging or only being wanted for financial purposes.

During my time in Thailand, the sight of farangs desperately trying to fit in with their adopted society was always good for a giggle, and it was plain to see that these were the guys that had been spat out by their birth country (even though they always claim that it was them that did the spitting out) thus needed a fresh chance. This need provided the motivation for them to do some or all of the following:

    - wearing yellow shirts (I confess to having done this, but only as a more comfy alternative to shirt and tie in the office)
    - wearing a yellow (orange) wrist band
    - wearing a fuck-off big gold buddha
    - refusing to eat western food or drink western beer
    - adopting Thai mannerisms
    - etc

On that last point, last month during a quick visit I watched a tv programme where a Brit living in a wooden shack in isaan was interviewed. He had been working the land there for 20 odd years, and had a wife and kid. Every aspect of his mannerisms were that of a thai rice farmer. Each to their own, and all that....

Seems I haven't managed to intergrate in any way at all
Did have some cotton round my wrist once to get rid of the spell my girlfriends mate must have cast on me because it made me shag her, don't think it worked though as I wouldn't mind shagging her again.

    means you are queer

    - wearing a fuck-off big gold buddha

means you are queer AND stoopid and suck thai cock!

    - refusing to eat western food or drink western beer

means you are queer; stoopid;suck thai cock; have lost the plot, and probably dance the "south east asian quickstep" (running to the bog with your hands clamped on your butt after you just "curried" yourself!) ,on a daily basis.

    - adopting Thai mannerisms

    ^ all of the above.

if i have to be honest (and i do so at the risk of looking like a bit of a "robertson", not because i am being honest, but because i am confessing to having worn a yellow shirt on occasion!), i have taken advantage of the benefits of wearing a yellow shirt on mondays: got me into the panties of the cute yellow thing at the amphoe, so i guess it was justified!

^^ With the global melting pot heating up, this is more typical than people seem to realize... People are meandering the planet searching for a better life... Nothing specific to Thailand about that...

    not a chance!

plus, we racists are particularly colour-concious, you know!!

boinking a yellow thing is ok, but when they turn blue it means they are over-ripe!

I do love my b uddas

some are very good and I have about 8 of them in a gold setting.
Wear one under my shirt every day. This is true magic bling,
not like the shit em black wanna be africans wear in the usa.
This is the real macoy and a sound investment

I also belive shagging the locals is a nice way to mix with young generation and to show my gratitude of beeing in thailand.

Blending in by being clean, newly shaved and looking fresh.

enloying the night scene in pattaya with all the locals from a small place called the globe

eating thai food, yeah I know Im a stupid fuck

trying to keep a happy face and smile, wow, even at strangers,,,,
    yes I do

givin the girls a little pocket money like all decent sugar daddys do

    god bless

So you all agree that foreigners trying to settle in your own home country shouldn't make an effort to fit in....
