Assuming you are talking about dealing with TOT, my advice is don't bother - let someone else do it on your behalf.

Sorry Guys yes Norton was right, TOT is anyone having the same as us.
Firstly the ADSL originally i started on a package of 2MB, then we went on to 4 MB and everything was working fine no probs. Then they offered me a promotion which was supposed to be better, it did not work so we went back to 4MB and ever since then we have had no end of trouble. It crashes all the time and I do not get the same 80 percent + we used to get. And after endless phone calls to sort the problem out, and Technician after Technician coming to the house renewing internal wires etc, they are telling me now in there smiley smiley way that there is nothing else they can do !! So basically live with it !! as we were told there was a brake in the line,
One thing we have noticed on the modem diagnostics, ping DNS fail !!
Maybe that is part of the problem, advise would be great.
    Cheers

Anyway, if you are having DNS issues try setting your DNS servers to open DNS:

    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

    Thanks Slackula
Tried it and great it works. I will see if it makes work better.
About the crashing I meant to say it does it periodically, About every half hour on a bad day. Cheers

Here is the deal. Any internet provider IN Thailand can promise great speeds. In Thailand. Once a person wants to travel outside of Thailand, there is only one cable.

    Could be wrong...

    Dear True Internet user,

Due to tropical storm in Taiwan, CAT Telecom fiber optic cable leased lines have been damaged. This may cause slower speed in browsing some international web pages, where their servers are located in the Asian region, e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Hi5 and Yahoo. However, True Internet is doing its best to facilitate hi-speed Internet users with its TIG network that helps relieve such effects.

By the time the damage is completely fixed (around 15 Sep 09) the users will be able to access all web pages as usual. More information is available on NewsFactor Network

They broke me. I value my health above download speed. After being on their top package, which was great until an internet cafe opening war started in our soi (4 now), we're back to the 2 mb plus free land line calls 590b deal. I was getting better speeds using dial-up 4 years ago than I am now. Do all my downloading and work after midnight till about 5.40 and then, as sure as a pope shits in the woods, from 6am to 10pm all I get are messages telling me my DSL isn't connected.

As mentioned previously, they've broken me. I'm like Jack Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
