Horrible. Animal cruelty disguised as a "sport", but what can you expect from a bunch of cowboys?

    Disgusting and shameful.

Animal cruelty for no other reason than the entertainment of a few sick people.

No more disgusting and shameful than a couple of lions tearing apart a gazelle.
No more disgusting and shameful than a fox ripping a dozen chickens apart.

The farming community in UK has all but beeen destroyed by the labour government in a series of spiteful and vindictive legal measures. The law on hunting was nothing to do with animal rights and everthing to do with political one upmanship

Really? I would have put those down as a "natural event" rather than "entertainment"

I think game hunting for trolls should be allowed

but only armed with a magnet - display skill and daring by erasing a troll from its hard drive

Foxes are vermin on account of the damage they do to livestock. Hunting, as a method of vermin control has been going on for centuries.
As a result of the ban the fox population has increased and in addition to livestock losses, they are now moving into urban areas and causing havoc and spreading disease.

Yes, I saw on Nat Geo the other day a water buffalo stuck in the mud and a dozen jackals were behind him eating him alive and he could do nothing, not a very entertaining site.
But shit happens, I think that all horses should be butchered and eaten or used for farm work too. so the way England used to treat humans was not very humane either, hang em for awhile, then when they pass out, cut em down and tie each limb to a horse and tear em apart,, not really very nice either.
But what other folks do is really none of my business unless they want to do it to me and then we gonna have a problem.

The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) is a mammalian species indiginous to n America, Northern Europe, Eurasia and N Africa. It was introduced to Australia in the 1850s primarily for hunting.

a bit silly banning fox hunting one day then bombing the shit out of Iraqi villages the next. May as well keep fox hunting legal too as it's also quite enjoyable.

Less so for the foxes I would have thought.

But, serioulsy there is a double standard there - dog fighting, cock fighting banned donkeys years ago. Fox hunting recently. So it was OK to partake in blood sports so long as you are not a working class oik.

Nah, the hooray henrys can f*ck off too.

I think the fox-hunting ban is a bit harsh on the horses really. I'm sure the horses loved a good old run around over the hedges chasing the fox and the hounds must have had a jolly good day out too.

Of course banning things unless absolutely necessary is a bad thing - restricting liberty.

What will they ban next: Smoking, drinking, gambling, pornography, soft drugs etc..? come to think of it most of that is banned in supposed 'LOS' already.
