I agree ast, I think they are making it deliberately ambiguous and not making it clear for deceptive reasons ( this is my humble opinion ) but I have dug deeper and I believe at present the new proposals do not include British Spouses.

Yes that crucial word here in your post ( YET ) no doubt the bastards will come up with another win double to scam us out of more tax ie ,, if you can pay £10.000 you can have citizenship after 3 years if not it will be 10

This will give them some more money to help rehouse all the hundreds of thousands of illegals that live and work here , when they give them their amnesty , because its easier to hammer us poor bastards who do it properly.

If they do bring in the 10 year law, i would have thought that those already here would still be subject to 3 years, as in if they brought the law in today, all applications from September 2012 would have to be here 10 years, prior to that date still 3 years.

I was hoping they would adopt the same policy, when they brought in the need for a ESOL and citizenship qualification, in order to get ILR, but, alas no they didnt. It cost us an extra £850 in the end.

Its around £750 mark. Although the form looks quite lengthy, its actually quite straight forward, as quite a lot wont be applicable. So long as you provide what they ask for, then the rest should be just a formality.

    Heres the form.

Missus was called today and told she can't come back to college.

They made a mistake, didn't know their own rules and she can't go because she hasn't been in the Uk a year. They will refund my 299 quid sometime this month

She can go if I she want, but at 4950 pounds we can't really afford it.

She is devastated at the moment, she really liked it, considering she hadn't been to school properly when she was young as well.

Some [at][at][at][at] goes and ruins it again

Her only other option is to claim asylum, but that isn;t going to happen

    fucking cunts

My misses has all the books now, the official one which is a bit hard going and another one with 1000 questions and answers in + a cd with practice questions on and she reckons she'll be up for just taking the test in a couple of months, should be ok, multiple choice test, requiring 18 out of 24 to pass, saves going to college.

My wife just had the official book and it took her just over a week of study before taking the test

and bothering me with lots of questions

so it is fairly straightforward if she has reasonable English

just a bit methodical my misses, she is reading the official book along with her Thai/English dictionary and looks up every word she doesn't know, i'm just leaving it up to her how she wants to do it, best way i've found!!!!!!!

there are lots of things a dictionary does not tell you

like what the legal system of the UK is etc

I suppose Google is good, but you would be faster (I hope!)

    good luck to her anyway

    pretty much that

misinfo from the college. they said married more than one year. no mention of time in the country.

put some more paperwork in after she had started. finance people told her fuck off or pay 5k.

    we fucked off.

I've written to the principal and cc'd all 18 of the board of governers.

I paid for a service which was sold to me at 299 pounds, now they want to increase it to 5k because one of their staff made a mistake.

    Fuck that.
