    More local Nazism

Yep the local swastika lovers are at it again. Maybe it was that recent Tom Cruise movie, but there were some really frightening action figures on sale today at the mall here in Korat.

F#cking Nazi dolls! Dressed up in SS uniforms! Like a foot high on little pedastals, doing their little 'heil' standing next to a swastika flag.

It must be seen to be believed. Bringing my camera next time I go.

Saw a lovely little Thai girl on Bangla Rd last night sporting a rather large swastica tattoo on the right shoulder... Funny thing was that it was backwards... Must have been done by a Thai...

Are you seriously telling us that you don't know what Swastikas mean in Thailand?

BTW, the idea that forwards and backwards swastikas are somehow different is a myth, ain't no difference.

    Rev swastika

Buddihsm originated in Nepal in the 5th century BC and inherited the manji or swastika. Also known as a "yung drung"[16] in ancient Tibet, it was a graphical representation of eternity[17]. Today the symbol is used in Buddhist art and scripture, known in Japanese as a manji (literally, "the character for eternality" 萬字), and represents Dharma, universal harmony, and the balance of opposites. When facing left, it is the omote (front) manji, representing love and mercy. Facing right, it represents strength and intelligence, and is called the ura (rear) manji. Balanced manji are often found at the beginning and end of Buddhist scriptures (outside India). One can see swastika on the Pillars of Ashoka where the swastika is a symbol of the cosmic dance around a fixed center and guards against evil. Wikepedia.

Not a theory, a fact. The Swastika has been used as a religious symbol for thousands of years. It's still in widespread use as a religious symbol. The Nazi use of it doesn't mean that nobody else can use it.

Yes, I knew all that...I just wanted you to test your theory out.

It may shock you to discover that some of us here are quite well educated!

Are you one of them? That is a shock. Why did you feel the need to pretend to be a moron then?

...hence the secret Nazi cult. They were obsessed with Aryan origins.

Because it amuses me. Deceiving those of simple mind is one of my many pleasures and seemingly hardly a challenge anymore (as evidenced by the ease of your deception).

Perhaps I need to find a more worthy challenge, something more difficult.

I....er....see. You pretend to be stupid in order to prove that you're not stupid to people who didn't know you were stupid or didn't care you were stupid, and that by showing you're stupid you're actually proving that you're not stupid to people who still think you were stupid in the first place, your stupidity is just a deception and the very fact that you go to the effort of proving you're stupid actually goes to prove you're not stupid. So that by being stupid you're, by the inverse stupid law, proving that you're not stupid but are rather passing beyond stupid to reclaim ur-stupidity and by an application of the 4th law of stupidity your stupidity passes through and beyond known stupidity to become stupidity squared. Forgive me, but I think that's just stupid.

Strontium Dog. With all due respect I'd like to know if you're over 12 years old or not. Teakdoor has a pretty strict policy of not using swear-words when talking with kids and before we proceed any further I need permission from your parent, guardian or keeper to communicate with you.

Not entirely..you seem to have missed the point along the way...being "normally" stupid is fun and allows for a seamless integration into all things. It also allows me to watch others such as yourself throwing your self perceived weight and importance around. People tend to dislike those who lord it over them, just look at your avatar and details. "Cursus honorum"....just how much effete intellectual snobbery?

Being an arrogant, pretentious, obnoxious, pseudo-intellectual such as yourself, results in exclusion and isolation with a light sprinkling of defensive posturing laced with denial and delusion.
"Slavery is the daughter of darkness; an ignorant people is the blind instrument of its own destruction; ambition and intrigue take advantage of the credulity and inexperience of men who have no political, economic or civil knowledge. They mistake pure illusion for reality, license for freedom, treason for patriotism, vengeance for justice."-Simón Bolívar
