Thread: Do Thai women come on to you ?

Well , I've followed Smegs BTS thread with interest but it made me think about the other side of the coin. Back in the U.K. I don't recall women hitting me up for a date every time I hit the streets , but over here .... well its a different story.
At least two or three times a week I get some flirtatious woman giving me the come on.!! Sure, it doesn't mean much but the point is that if I asked for their phone number or a date .... THEY WOULD AGREE !! Who knows where it would all end up if you followed it through ? Who needs bars anyway ? So my question is ..... Why ?
Is it the money ...... They want a sugar daddy
Is it sex ................ They want to sample some falang muff diving
Is it love ............. They want a decent guy to love them

Some of these women are as bad as the old falangs on the BTS , not that I'm complaining. Too bad I'm already taken.

That is a bit naive really

it could be any or all three reasons

every woman has a different viewpoint, I am sure

I sympathise with you, it must be very difficult to be polite

Less wealthy Thai women see love and money as the same thing - they'll "love" the man most likely to share lots of cash with her. Farangs are therefore seen as a likely prey.

In the UK women would often flirt openly, and I was often groped in crowded wine bars. Girlfriend's friends would overstep the mark after too much to drink.

Here in Thailand, Thai women are shy of me. They can hardly look me in the eye.

I'm never propositioned. Never approached.

Not normally, no. However, as soon as I put a suit and a decent shirt on, to go to a burning or a wedding for example, I tend to get loads of offers. It is not something that I am used to, but very enjoyable none the less.

unfortunately they only come on to me if I'm in a whore bar.

Thats about it for me too. When I'm slobbed out .... zilch , but if I make an effort

Ok, I registered for the first time after being a lurker here for most of this year and know as a newbie my say doesn't hold much weight. I do find this a little difficult to believe.

I have known young, very good-looking farang men, who may have been approached once in 2 or 3 years, but twice a week. Do me a favour.

However, after my first few years (in the days before owning a car) of travelling everywhere on the BTS in shirt, tie, trousers and shoes, getting a few smiles. But one day, I got dressed up in my wedding suit to go and give a corporate presentation and it was a totally different story. I could have got a few phone numbers.

But, I honestly don't believe that anyone would get hit on 2 or 3 times a week, unless you were walking along Patpong or Nana.
