    Unhappy close call

where do i start, reality hit me when the bloody 'sparky' looked at me and said mate you don,t know just how lucky you are.. this bloody machine is 'live' who the fuck has been tampering with the earth?

last night at my usual work out.. i got zapped by a machine, not just a little pins and needles thingy, but a bloody boot that left a contact burn on me gut [lucky i,m insulated] so i got the 'day' shift to get the sparky in, and clear the machine, un beknowst to me the stupid bastard was told by the sparky on the phone to tag and shut it down as unsafe, i did,nt find this out till a couple of hours ago, when the sparky looked at me after pulling the bloody 3 phase plug out of the wall and found the bloody earth had some how come adrift and said mate you don,t know how lucky you are..

tell us about your close call to someone elses stupidity!

right now i,m not sure how i feel, me guts feel like i been kicked though

2 things had to happen , the earth being loose and one of the phases being loose and contacting the external metal case or similar

( Jet , please take note of this concerning your lamp thread )

all industrial machines with plugs are supposed to be tested and tagged every 3 months with a coloured tag and signed off - there should be a register of all the devices on site.

maybe some one has not really been doing the insulation ,continuity and inspection tests - maybe some sparky needs to be read the riot act

Jesus Christ Nedley, be careful as I would like to see you again sometime.. I just had a friend and guy I had worked with for 40 years pop his clogs from lung cancer 2 days ago and that is enough friends checking out to do me for awhile.
