Sounds nasty, too many idiots in Thailand have access to guns. I bet it was over something pretty trivial as well.

No doubt. But then most things would be trivial in comparison to shooting 4 people in the head.

Sounds like alcohol might've been a factor too. Idiot+alcohol+gun = bad news.

Massacre??? I thought a massacre was like when the krauts killed 30,000+ Red Sea pedestrians in Kiev ... Babi Yar Massacre wasn't it?

This sounds more like pissed argument gone wrong ... sadly

You see these type of situations brewing all over Thailand on a daily bases and this end result obviously reeks of alcohol induced bravado and probable loss of face.

Thai men cannot handle their alcohol very well and although guns are not their usual weapon, and to settle these drunken disputes hospitals are full of victims suffering head wounds from being clobbered with wood, bottles or anything else that these idiots can get their hands on.

Dramatic photographs of the aftermath show a bottle of beer and a half-empty plastic glass sitting on a large round cable spool that was being used as a table.
there is just too much of this stuff going on in thailand.

foreign embassies in thailand should be warning their citizens to be on the lookout for, and to stay away from, bottles of beer and half empty plastic glasses sitting on large round cable spools being used as tables. they are sure signs that a skinny buck toothed madman in shorts and purple flip flops is not far away and about to let fly with a homemade pistol because someone smiled at his wife.

Everything is Jai Yen Yen until the rage explosion

I use to get surprised by this sort of thing but sadly it is a common occurance these days and in all fairness to Thailand, it happens everywhere in the world. I will admit though, things seem to go from one extreeme here to the other in a matter of nano seconds.....one minute somchai is happily slurping away on his bottle of poison and the next he is cutting off someones head basically over nothing.
