    Beer Tokens

Thought I'd celebrate my 1000th post on the board by depressing myself.

It dawned on me today whilst I handed over the cash for a brace of Leo, that shopkeeper has had an awful lot of cash from me. Which in turn got me thinking about years gone by in this country when my drinking erm, how can I describe this..'habit' was quite a bit worse than it currnetly is.
So I took the time to do some shotgun in the mouth calculations and they came out thus..

First 3 months = bang on it..1000bt a day minimum (bearing in mind I was drinking in posh gaffs with aircon and whatnot...90 days * 1000bt = 90,000bt.

    Next 3 years was a steady 300bt a day (at cost price mind) 1095 days*300bt = 328,500bt.

The year after the 3 year session was a little more refined *er herm* 50bt a day (fucking Siam Sato - I was brassic) 365 days * 50 = 18,250 (still a chunk of change)

Bring it up to the present day and I'd say the mean average is more or less 100bt a day for the past 3 years, 1095 * 100 = 109,500bt

Which gives me a wrist slitting grand total of 546,250bt

Add a packet of cigs at an average of 40bt a pack for the duration and thats an extra 102,200bt

    What a FUCKING WASTE.

If you lived on a bread and water diet and no cigs or Alcohol.and no Bar Girls

    You could save fortunes.

    Not much of life but

Of course I agree with that..but's it's time to take up a more savoury hobby..like painting or something..actually I drew a picture for my little nephew the other day, bloody good effort it was, I was devasted to see him fuck it up trying to colour it in.

So paintings an option, I also used to go fishing alot but it's a bit out of order on the old fish really...

*gulp* fuck, I've nearly run out of beer.

If you consider 500K baht a 'wrist slitting' amount then you have bigger issues than how much you drink and smoke imho.

I shall consult my doctors, Dr Saeng and Dr Som. I may report back on the efficacy of their treatment or not, depending on how effective it is.

You could live like a Monk and and maybe have a few more Baht in the bank when you die. Maybe have a few more miserable years of life too.

Just think how much worse off financially you would be if you got married!

I hate to think how much I've spent on alcohol, cigarettes and women in my time in Thailand...

    So I don't think about it...and continue....

    Life is good!

    Off to Soi Cowboy later...bliss.
