    1baht

1baht, what can you actually buy in Thailand with 1 Baht?
7/11 seems to be bringing 25 and 50 satang coins back into circulation when it only used to be foodland that did that, and there is nothing I can think of that you can buy for 25 or 50 satang, maybe time to get rid of those coins I reckon.

1 Baht used to buy you 4 cough sweets at the local Thai shop, here in Jomtien and Pattaya the rents are way too high to have a local Thai shop so it's family marts and 7/11s selling packets of sweets from 5baht, from the local Thai shops there used to be loads of different things you could purchase for 1 baht, so is there anything in Thailand that can be bought for 1baht?

A packet of cigarettes when you only have 74 Baht as the cvnts won't let you off for 1 Baht.

Alot of people seem to call them water heaters over here. Rarely see a proper kettle with which u don't have to summon all your power to press the top down in order to get a thimbles full worth of trickle into your tea mug..

One baht is not even enough to go to the bathroom anymore.

We could set up an experiment where everybody in the country sends me just 1 baht and then see how much fun I have spending it.

I can but lots of things for one Baht, most of them a really pretty useless -The Government, Toyota Thailand, the Pu Yai Bahn, the Kamnan, the temple and all who haunt or squat there, a few sweeties, non of them really worth the asking price!

It's about time they introduced 0.001 satang coins so I can really pay TRUE VALUE.

The weighing machine at Fresh Mart costs 1 Baht just to tell you that you are a fat slob.

What are those satang coins made of?

The scrap value may be more than the face value

Apparently (no -I haven't tried) there are some slappers here that charge 50 baht -however - a few of their customers didn't live long enough to get their pension! (Besides - if you saw the place - well, it's dripping in cat piss - you wouldn't really want to take off your biological warfare suit.

A TRUE AND LOYAL THAI FRIEND!

And what are these new 2 baht coins they have brought in - they are really confusing - to the point that the locals take a red felt pen and write "2" on everyone?
The 25 satang and the 50 satang, my sons school refuses to accept them!

What colour are they now? Red? Yellow? Blue? not seen one...maybe gold? (for Good Luck)

Do they portray any nasal dripping? (as to assimilate with poor sweating peasants - or maybe a Nikon stamp on the back)

1 Baht would buy you quite a lot back in the days when 1 Pound Sterling would only buy you 8 Thai Baht.
