Why are sex toys illegal in Thailand ?

A few years back I had a few toys in the bedside drawer but when had to do a spell away I gave them to a friend who has since likewise departed. No loss until just recently I've met a very interesting girl who is very adventurous and keen to try anything. Only now I find out that they are illegal ? I'm sure, this being Thailand they can be found but where ? Oh yes....and what with the ban ? Unfair competition or what ?

Krong Tom markets Bkk (not sure of correct spelling) has them everywhere on display , as well as dice , cards , porn dvd ....etc etc etc.

The other reason that came to mind was that 4 and 5 year old Thai Children would realise how big a normal cock was, which would make the average Prah feel a bit innadequate.
