Nothing new here except one question?? Is that Scottish, Orish, Welsh and England all in the same group?? I was unaware that it was considered GBR back in the day of cannibalism..

Brittannia or Brittānia was the name used by the Romans from the 1st century BC. Following the Roman conquest of AD 43.

Act of Union with Scotland was 1707 and Ireland was 1801.

Thanks for the cheeky answer finally, but I didn't need the clues I was examining just how 'up' you are on your own history and wondering who was going to take ownership of the history and who would deny it?

The Romans referred to them as Britons but what was the internal politics of the time?? I doubt there was that level of unity in consideration of who was a "Briton" and who wasn't or else why would there have been centuries of differentiation post Roman times ..... And ultimately who (which region) if there is any distinction? Were the ones considered to be cannibals prior to the Romans coming in and civilizing them or was it a common practice across Britain with no distinctive civility by any group of currently referred to UK nations of citizens..
