    An eclectic's guide to TeakDoor

This thread was inspired by the recently ruffled feathers of Horsey and Phukethound, both relative newcomers to TD. I was sipping Babychams in an all-boy go-go bar in Roi-et last night with DD, founding father and font of all wisdom, and he explained the idea of eclecticism to me. Here is my attempt to pass on those wise words to other newcomers.

TeakDoor is a community made up of a wide range of characters of all ages, both sexes (and Butterfly's sex) from many walks of life. The key to successfully integrating into the TD community is eclecticism – being selective, using different sources for different kinds of information.

The different members of TD have different specialisms, different areas of expertise. It's no good asking blackgang, for example, about plumbing. He knows less about pipes and pumps than your average bacterium. If you really want to engage blackgang, you have to pick your topic much more carefully. His specialist subject is sexual politics and the rise of the feminist movement.

So here is my brief guide to who to talk to about what on TD:

dirtydog: DO talk to dd about grammar and spelling. He's a well-established teacher with many years experience teaching English to Thai students and has published widely in the region. Be it classroom management, young learners, grammar and vocabulary systems, take it from me, he knows it all. DON'T engage him on dirty girls who show their knickers for 20B, dd is not interested in anything sordid.

Marmite the Dog: DO talk to him about racial issues, especially Africa and the British Empire. As a former Governor of Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and as Her Majesty's top diplomat in 17 different African nations, there's nothing he doesn't know about the history and development of that troubled continent. DON'T mention beer of food to him: as a vegan and teetotaller he has very strong and controversial opinions about us normal people who like our beer and roast beef!

kingwilly: DO talk US politics with him. He has a genuine insider's feel for the ins and outs of American politics and was a writer for The West Wing. (All the best West Wing jokes were kw's!) DON'T try to get him talking about post counts and reputation points. The man eschews all manifestations of popularity and is happiest when he's in the background.

DrB0b: DO ask the good doctor for anything pertaining to Thai pussy! The man is a hound of the highest order as well as being a pervert and an insatiable love-machine. If you want to know where to get it, how much to pay and how to avoid those nasty little infections, just book an appointment with the Doc. DON'T ask for opinions on the wider aspects of Thai culture, politics or history. The man has no interest in such matters. His only words of Thai are “How much?” (Said with a leer and a beery burp).

bustak: DO use bustak as the web's most reliable source of worldwide news and current events. As soon as it happens, busty knows about it and posts it on TD, making TD members the most up-to-date forum posters anywhere in the world. DON'T ask him about taking photos. He's a self-confessed nincompoop when it comes to anything to do with cameras and photography. He was once trying to take a snap of a dog's face and managed only to take a picture of his own eye!

Other regulars, please feel free to add your own recommendations.

And, TD newbies, remember this: be selective when you engage in banter with TD regulars. Get to know their interests and areas of expertise before you wade in and make a fool of yourself. Be eclectic and happy posting!
The sleep of reason brings forth monsters.

Teakdoor is actually only 2 posters with many different names who spend all day and night copying and pasting (then editing the advertisements) articles from a far superior site where freedom to express oneself is taken as a god-given. If you have any sense, avoid the "lower half" of the forum as it is a place where all serious stuff is discussed at great length and the worlds issues are generally solved with an insult.

I believe that in the future Horsedoctor will become the 'go to' person on the board when it comes to 'matters of the bedroom'. I think she'll be a wealth of information with sexy tips and tricks to keep that spark going in a marriage. Different positions, maybe some games and probably some fashions tips for our girls to keep them looking young and sexy, just the way we like them!

She may even be able to give some advise to our single or promiscuous members on the places where they can meet the best slagdoggs.

    4chan
is many things to many people. To Faux News, 4chan is a hazardous "Internet Hate Machine" filled with domestic terrorists. To others, it is that site full of weeaboos, trolls, and pedophiles that churns out many of the internet's most popular viral content.

Time poll crowns 4chan founder moot 'most influential person'

North Americans are worrying about swine flu. PC users are worrying about the Conficker virus. And companies promoting democratic Internet polls have to worry about 4chan.

Members of the underground message board appear to have successfully gamed Time's third annual World's Most Influential Person poll. Time has relented and officially crowned the founder of 4chan, who goes by the alias "moot," as the winner.
Time directly addresses the apparent orchestration by 4chan to influence the poll's results in its follow-up article. Moot "handily beat the likes of Barack Obama, Vladimir Putin and Oprah Winfrey," Time writes. "To put the magnitude of the upset in perspective, it's worth noting that everyone moot beat out actually has a job."
The obvious jab at moot, whose real name is believed to be Christopher Poole, is understandable. Time reports that moot, whom the magazine profiled last summer, had no knowledge of an organized . . .

. . . intervention by 4chan members, despite its documentation by bloggers over the last couple weeks.

Even before moot amassed the 16 million votes he got in his overwhelming victory, some bloggers speculated that 4chan users had not only boosted his rank, but also collectively influenced the order of the first two dozen or so nominees.

Take the first letters of the first names of the top 21, and it spells the phrase "Marble cake, also the Game." Aside from being a delicious pastry, marble cake is apparently the name of the chat room where the website's users have gathered to organize anti-Scientology protests. And the Game is an ongoing psychological experiment played by young people worldwide.

A blog called Music Machinery, clearly reporting outside of its usual niche, has a rather detailed analysis of how 4chan manipulated the poll. This would certainly explain why Anwar Ibrahim, a Malaysian politician, nabbed second place.

The allegedly successful attempt at swaying the poll's results is surely a relief to 4chan users. After their failed try at stealing the Twitter race to a million followers less than two weeks ago, the win for moot proves that 4chan hasn't lost its touch.
Next year, Time should change the name of its poll to the Internet's Most Influential Person.

Whatever you post do not make any comments about this poster because you will be wasting your time.
He will totally ignore you and never replies to anything mentioning his name.

However if you are thinking about going into the scrap business then he's the one to ask.
Greatly experienced in the process of buying scrap metal , he will guide you through the minefield of buying and ownership.
