Now I've been guilty of it also.

But have you ever accused or considered that anybody who posts anything that is a little on the belliligent side, posts negative comments about teachers must be smeg ?

Smeg = DJ Pat - why ? because they both say the same things about teaching in thailand, generally in a less then pleasant way....

It's either going to be a thread started by Smeg or a thread about him.

I might start a 'Smeg for Moderator' campaign.

Someone with such elevated status deserves recognition.

My vote is squirrel and cantona are Smeg's other identities.

They only post on Smeg threads and let's face it they're both so fucking stupid online that it's impossible they could get through the day in reality without some form of bodily harm coming their way, either self inflicted or by appropriate punishment metred out by a just human beng.

I think a lot of the ajarners do not look at smegs threads fairly, mrs q you are one of these people, even poolie was in the begining, he does attack Teflers, but fok me you can hardly refer to them as skilled people, I mean 20 days of tuition you don't learn to be a brain surgeon, hell in that time you could probably learn to drive a car and a forklift truck to barely acceptable standards.

lets go thru a couple of quick building courses, plaster board cielings is a 3 day course, artexing is a 2 week course, and nope you dont get to call yourself a proffessor after these courses.

DD. I agree with a lot of Smegs comment on TEFL'rs. They are very true. That is not my problem with him.

I just don't like his comments on Thailand. Even when they are true an dthey are stupid fuckers everywhere.

But Thailand aint really that great, well apart from the availability of cheap pussy, lets take Pattaya, this is a major tourist destination, the beach is crap, I shall take some pics tomorrow, ok it aint so polluted now so thats a good start, but these tourists didn't travel between 10 and 20 hours to see Pattayas poxy beach or temples, they came here for getting pissed out of their heads and shagging a few hoes, Pattaya is not some great cultural city, it is a foking dump that people come to for cheap perverse sex, there are no worth while day time activities to speak of like Disney World and that, it is just a place for doing your perverse sexual fantasies, that is all Pattaya has going for it, well apart from the English meat pies and big joes curries.

I would be more specific. Smeg's comments on the TEFL industry in Thailand are probably well founded - I'm not a teacher.

But this is a topic that has been done to death and I don't think there is much sympathy, on this forum at least, for apologists for the TEFL industry.

Smeg's posts, whether they be TEFL initiated or not, seem designed not to spark any serious debate but to provoke a response that will allow him to descend as quickly as possible to a level of self righteous indignation. Any thread that does not meet this requirement is simply discarded by him and replaced by another. A slightly more imaginative troll than most.

No I didn't!
I just said I couldn't see the reason to become one long term as it was hard to save any money. I have nothing at all against teachers.

Oh, and that's two R's in Burr and no, I'm definitely not Smeg.
