Your only allowed to talk about homosexual acts over there, hetrosexual relationships are not allowed to be talked about.

There is much that is not allowed at TV. It really was getting old - all of the censorship. They don't allow "bickering" - it's as though we are children. Really rediculous.

^well hopefully they don't allow children on tv as there previous admin was a convicted sex offender, you may want to ask george about It Manager or David Arthur and his arrest in Chiang Mai and subsequent deportation.

Never heard about that. They seem to keep everything on the up and up there - politically correct so to speak. I'll have to google that and read about the story. About how long ago did all that happen?

I just found the artical: Child-sex stalkers find an indulgent new frontier - World - www.smh.com.au. It was 2004. It doesn't mention TV but Arthur is mentioned. I had no idea that pedophiles were so common in Chiang Mai. One of the reasonse I settled here and not in Bangkok was because I had heard about children being abused and abductioned to Bangkok. Had NO IDEA this went on in Chiang Mai.
When I was working in Ventura, California, I became a child's advocate for the court system. In short, I can not tolerate child abuse.
I was also told that Chiang Mai has a drug problem - that people are often approached by tuktuk drivers and offered drugs. That's never happened to me. The person who told me reasoned that I haven't been approached because I do not look like someone who would use drugs.
I am finding that a lot goes on of which I am ignorant - which is another reason that I read and post on TV, and now on TeakDoor.

Arthur was admin of tv at that time and obviously trusted by george, his user name was it manager, his posts are still there, well a lot of them but won't show up on a search as obviously george is trying to hide that part of thaivisa history.

What is interesting is that I have seen TV mentioned on virtually all of the threads that I have reviewed during my rather short time here. However, during the 5 years I have been on TV, I never saw any reference whatsoever to TeakDoor. Don't know why.

TD tends to have a larger percentage of long term expats either working or retired

TV is a commercial enterprise that is heavily moderated
TD is a free form forum that is lightly moderated

I am surprised that you would be ignorant of the fact that child abuse goes on EVERYWHERE, it is not confined to specific places

given, there are areas (Pattaya) which do cater for that type of perversion, but in general, children are abused by relatives and friends, most commonly

I wouldnt get your hopes up too high, DD uses the promise of girl knickers and 1 or 2 unsavoury threads as a lure to posters to join and stay with TD but the overwhelming majority of posters end up being rather dissappointed with the whole experience.

But as another poster mentioned the travel threads are the best on the web, and there is also a host of damn silly threads that will make you laff or groan.

Aint nothing sacred here.
