    Would you make the trade?

So would you make the trade with the devil as it were? Madoff did and basically traded the last 15 or 20 years of his life to live the first 2/3rds of his life as a billionaire and set up his family for generations..

Would you do this? Do you have the complete lack of conscience, greedy, heartless selfishness it takes to do what he did for your own purposes??

and if so and had a choice would you do it on the front end or the back end of your future?

Meaning would you live your life to the fullest while hoping not to get caught or would you rather have gone to jail for say 20 years as an innocent person but make millions or basically billions on the loss of time when you got out but after much of your life and all of your freedom had been taken away for years?

Tough call but if I were that type of person I think I'd rather the former especially given all of the possible pitfalls like just plain dying that are unknown in one's future and having money would sure make those life hurdles much easier to deal with..

No scupples and definately no conscience!

Devoid of all compassion and absolutely should burn in hell and for his greedy actions and which will ruin so many other's lives.

Saw an programe last night whereby an ex-con, who now works for the public service claimed he would not last 10 minutes in the normal inmate community before he was topped.

Now the American taxpayer is going to have to provide and pay for his security as well which is an injustice.

doesn't exist, I left that option open expressly for your threads since they are of such superior quality... like demonstrating what an irresponsible pet owner you are by letting your 5 month old kitten out to whore the neighborhood..Good thing you don't have any daughters ..

Dug, Bernard Madoff? The scum bag financier scammer who was at one time the Chairman of NASDAQ? This Madoff...

The Associated Press: A 'sorry and ashamed' Bernard Madoff pleads guilty

Lets not get lost on the purpose of this question, it is not a question of morality as much as just a question regarding whether or not if you were faced with such an option at what point in your life would be optimum timing for you? early or late?

I am in no way condoning what he did, but I must admit to some sense of satisfaction that it was the top tier that got their throats cut for a change since the majority of them are so smug and judgmental.. If that makes me a bad person I can live with that over the little guy always getting the ramming with sand and no lubricant..

I have been hearing sob stories about people having to go to back to work and the like when they actually retired early anyway, and getting stranded in their $200,000 motor homes they were traveling in because they have no gas or money to drive back home... I find it very difficult to feel any remorse or pity for them having never had any of same for any of my lesser errors in judgment so far over the course of my life.. It's a tragedy for them though?

the man is a scum bag. he has ruined so many lives that he needs to be made an example of and putting him a secure area with extra security and special privlidges is not the way that I would do it.

yeah but that's the point Larvid. So in your case it seems your vote would be at the end of your life having lived such a lavish life as a billionaire all of the previous years nothing to loose on the back end...But you have to make a choice..no fence sitting now..you were brave enough to post up new pictures again without me to blame this time so this is no contest next to that..

So see you might get off with only a 10 year sentence and those could be really shite years due to your health anyway..

Give him a second chance. A one way ticket to here and twenty quid/dollars/euros. I will gladly meet him at the airport. Then, shortly after when my mother arrived, with the same twenty in her purse (borrowed), i will try my best to stop the twat from being beaten.
    Option 5. Protect thieves.

OK then, no I wouldn't dream of stealing, no matter how easy it was, no matter how much money it was, no matter if I could get away with it, no matter how hard up I was, no matter at all in fact, because I would not be able to look at my face in the mirror after,( It's hard enough as it is ) and when you steal you always in the end hurt the little people, there is no such thing as Robin Hood taking from the rich and give to the poor because the rich have insurance the poor end up paying for.

So I'll stick with the knickers shots for now, it does not pay anything and it invariably gives a headache next morning but it is funny while going on. and it's funny winding up the wankers that make a point of visiting the thread to protests the photos, us knowing that they probably are doing just that with one hand (you know ) whilst posting with thee other.

and LT called me intense? too serious Larvi, I wasn't talking about stealing from anyone .. I was just talking about trading away any number of your years to be more comfortable and live the rest of your years in any form you wanted to without the usual concerns.. Madoff was just an example of someone who made that choice in the end though clearly he didn't want to get caught at some point he knew he was going to, he is not intended to be someone to emulate...

I see now I should have left that second choice out, it distracts from the real issue but I thought folks here could see the content of the question, I guess I was wrong .. though I think Old Git understood the concept I owe him a green..

For me personally I find myself sleeping better and if I have achieved something good in that preceding day. I lay in bed and think about what I achieved and how I did it and invariably fall asleep knowing I have done something good.

How this guy could enjoy his life in those years leading up to his wicked exposure and how he could have slept at night amazes me.

Definately a one of a kind and he can have his previous golden years as far a I am concerned. I value walking down the street without the need of body guards, armored cars and having to continuosly to look over my shoulder.

No amount of money or luxuries is worth that!

    Are you a thief too?

Are you dying for the chance to steal as he did?

You certainly sound like you are. Shame that you don't have the opportunity, isn't it?

sure I do!! in my primary field of interest you don't get anywhere if you're not intense!! BTW no offense taken, I've certainly been called much worse nor did I think you meant it as any sort of insult but when you said it you did have me going a minute..wasn't exactly sure what direction you were headed .. decent cheese burger BTW, forgot to mention that next day..

Me too, clearly he has the same mind set as a serial killer, I can make no differentiation as it is in some cases even more sinister and cold hearted because the victims live on to suffer more.. Absolutely no conscience and I feel the same way as you about accomplishments and feeling the same sense of pride, that's what I get out of what I do that few people can relate to.. for me it is an even more exclusive club given how small it is and how difficult to be at the pinnacle.. ..

I wish that were true..maybe to that extreme but certainly not in that vein.. Remember Ken Lay? He is another example of this posed question he made his millions and hardly served a day of his conviction as he died of a heart attack shortly after the verdict..

definitely something to be said for that, I agree that there are limits of comfort, my limit is much more practical than someone like him, but it would be nice to be able to say "hey I'd like to buy that car!" on the spur of the moment without having to concern yourself with how much it's going to cost or how you're going to pay for it..

Even if I may not WANT a Ferrari I'd still like to be able to know I could own one without straining myself to do so..

or 2 or 3 for that matter...

Just FYI for those of who don't realize, I'm a victim of a few of these scammers so I speak from a perspective of experience and not empathy....
