NR's Mum's wedding pics

OK, OK, so I'm a bit late & I've been back in LOS for over 6 weeks....

Anyway, in an internet cafe now, uploading the pics for 2 photo threads (I'll do the other tonight at home, as it's longer), so better late than never...

OK, the date was 29th January in bloody cold Doncaster, UK. First the civil ceremony was held in Doncaster Registry Office & then there was a humanist ceremony in China Cottage Old People's Home, where my Mum works as a carer.

The first pic is the 'signing the register' pic

We had one of those stretch limos to take Mum, the bridesmaid & I to the registry office and then take the married couple, the bridesmaid & I to China Cottage. I've never been in one before - quite liked it. Especially the champagne!

Here's a pose at the limo, with Mum & Graham, her new hubby.

And another with my niece, Eirinn, the bridesmaid

As you can see, Mum opted for a proper wedding dress, rather than suit, because she'd had no say in what she wore at her wedding to my Dad as a mere teenager, and she hated her dress, so this time she wanted to wear her own choice, rather than my Gran's.

Then it was the limo ride (more champers!) to China Cottage for the second ceremony in the company of staff and residents of the nursing home. It was a nice ceremony, with the Donny newspaper taking pics, too.

Cutting the cake, which was made by one of the resident's daughter and given by the resident...

I hope there is a door hinge behind the happy couple otherwise that car door must be at least 12 feet long. How would you get in and out if you parked to close to the wall?

Good idea though. I bet there is a bed and jacuzzi in the back so no need to pay for a hotel.

I only have 2 pics of me (both head & shoulders only) as I was taking the pics. One is of me & Eirinn and is very dark & blurred (Lord knows who took it!). The other has my sister in it & she'd kill me if I put her pic on the internet.

Filchy ands his siblings aren't well. I thought they had distemper (God forbid!) but took Filchy to the vets & he's distemper negative, so it must be summat flu-like. Waiting till he looks a bit less thin.

Scampy is doing well, though.

They weren't given much of the wine etc, though Mum & Graham bought in loads. Must admit, I made a bit of an inroad into the red, though...

My sister's ex was from Irish heritage. Eirinn actually has an accent over it, too - but I don't know how to reproduce that on a keyboard. Fingers crossed for him. He's a fighter, though & despite having the worst symptoms, he's eating and alert, some of the girls aren't doing as well.

Anyway, they're all on loads of meds & I'm making up fresh food for them every day plus 2 lots of puppy milk a day, so I hope they'll all get past it.
