To be honest, I take little notice of the constant personal nastiness directed towards me, other than to return fire in a similarly petty way, but such behaviour does beg questions. In particular, why do these people react in this wasteful way?Originally Posted by benbaa
The vast majority of posts on TD are pro-LOS, which is hardly surprising, as the vast majority of members are people who have migrated here. Thus to try to add a bit of balance by stating less than rosey observations or raising issues that are overlooked in the constant flurry of "thaiophilia" is to me quite normal behaviour, especially as this seeks to stimulate useful and insightful dialogue and debate. However, a few members find my posts highly objectionable, and retaliate with a barrage of personal abuse, time after time. This behaviour makes it seem as if such people have such fragile egos and reasons for being in Thailand that anything that "rocks their boat" is automatically deemed to be evil, and deserving of destruction by whatever means necessary.
At the end of the day, my posts make up but a tiny percentage of TD content, and yet such people still choose to read them, then get upset and retaliate. So why?
