    Saving the world tips!

As we are approaching the end of the world as we know it, and the carbon tax that's due to be enforced upon us because of BP's incompetence despite being warned by engineers weeks before it was going to go tits up, i have decided to do my bit "for the sake of us all"

I have removed my roof rack which despite being aerodynamic did seem to use more fuel. (It's now for sale at 3,900 if interested)

When driving on the motor/highway i turn the AC off and wind the windows down.

Now then, i wonder if the drag caused by the windows being down will use more fuel than using AC?

Anyway, i assume that more noise generated on the outside equals more drag so i came up with an ingenious idea. Fold the door mirrors in. The noise reduction is amazing which i can assume will reduce drag. Obviously this planet saving idea is only recommended when there isn't much traffic. My ideas and willingness to contrubute to saving us all maybe psycological, but i do think it saves quite a bit of fuel - a good thing for our planet surely!

I am considering installing solar panels at home too, just to be off the grid.

Do you have any planet saving tips?

We do not have aircon at home...no need for it here.

I drive locally around here almost every day without the aircon on.

We use the ladle and splash system for showering on the farm.

We use the shower water for the garden directly.

We planted a few hundred trees.

We grow some of our own vegetables.

Our house is open and natural light, so no need for lights anywhere during daytime.

We get grandma to cut the grass with scissors.
I like poisoning my neighbours dogs till they die cos I'm a cnut

If the roof rack did indeed cause more fuel usage and you sell it on to someone else who uses it then that's not really doing anything to help the planet. It's simply passing the problem on.

Nope. As has been conclusively and scientifically proven by science and the guys on that 'Myth Busters' Discovery show.

Our house is open and natural light, so no need for lights anywhere during daytime, but I still like the ceiling fans on, and a little extra light is always nice.

If it's just me in the car it's window down and no aircon. If with the wife and kids aircon all the way, I'm out voted.

It should be 1 vs 1, you're kids aren't old enough to vote

Collectively they're 5yrs old so get a half-vote which tips the balance.

Also they're very vocal. Must get that from their mam.

Maybe 'The Planet' overpopulated itself with humans because it wanted more carbon in the atmosphere. Maybe 'The Planet' has a mind of its own? Maybe 'The Planet' is going to cough us all up like a big hairball pretty soon and then there will be nobody to take care of 'The Planet' except 'The Planet'.

Not sure if it would save on fuel but the noise reduction with the windows open is amazing, and I prefer windows down to to AC.

Let the air out of the car tyres and back into the atmosphere. Walk.

There is more carbon in the sea beds that the planet could release if required over generations.

The planet does have a mind of its own, it has taken care of business for 4.5 eons.

If we get hairballed.....the palent will take its sweet time to rejuvinate....it has before.

Problem is, us polluting it at a faster rate than ever before. We put more carbon and other pollutants into the air that the planet cannot control by its own 'inhouse climate control system'.....whats more, the sensitive areas of the planet are raped and these climatic control areas are leveled.....so how will it effect this control mechanism if we have pulled it off the wall.....hmmmm !!!
