    Squirrels

The missus has just dragged me to the window to look at a squirrel running about one of the mango trees.

    Fucking wicked.

    Sadly no photos.

    Does anybody else have squirrels?

Yes, they are especially good to watch when they have babies and they run around the trees and wrestle and play like kittens. (the babes, I mean)

I always think they are going to fall, but at the very last moment, they regain balance.

Squirrells are good fun if you have a catapult - used to have a great laugh as a teenager trying to nail the fuckers - never quite managed it though.

    Yessss.

Next door where my Stepmums family live they have some squirrels that wonder around and they are very tame. They often feed them some food by hand, very cute.

I see them all the time where I live in Korat. One morning I was running and up on the power line a squirrel was running about the same speed in my direction. He kept up with me for quite some time. I was laughing so hard I nearly had to stop running.

I'm in LA now at my Mom's house and there are tons of squirrels here as well.

I figure they're just cute rats.

I had a couple as pets when I lived in bangkok brought them at some market. They make great pets if you handle them all the time if you dont they can bite if they arent use to you. We use put a plastic container full of water down on some tiles and watch them jump and swim. They are really funny to watch as they try and run on floor tiles feet doing about 50rpm but getting no where
One got out the front door one night and went down the drain thought he was gone for good but next morning he was at the front door on the mat
But we let them go in the end as they were a handful to look after

Used to have a student who had one living in his school bag. He must have brought it to school for three or four months before a Thai teacher confiscated it. Don't know what they did with it. Maybe ended up as post 60.

The boring brown ones don't do much for me, but those yellow coloured ones are pretty cool....

When I walk to work I pass through a small section of road which is alive with squirrels. It's quite spooky sometimes. You remember that film The Birds, well it's like that except with squirrels.

^I'm thinking about that scene in the phonebox when birds are flying into it and breaking the glass......except they're squirrels...and it's you in the phonebox dress as a woman and screaming "they're coming, they're coming!!, and not the lady in the movie. Sounds like a bladdy scary place danbo.

We have loads of squirrels around our building. I like to watch them chasing eachother in the trees from the comfort of my swimming pool......one cheeky little bugger gave me a fright when he walked straight past me on balcony railing 6 feet away my my computer desk! I live on the 7th floor...

I used to have lots of grey squirrels around Montreal they were scary. No fear of people come and steal food straight from your mouth.

That was one of the scariest movies I have ever seen.

A bit of trivia about that; Tippi Hendren was the blonde star of that movie and rumour has it that she rejected Alfred Hitchcock's sexual advances and he ensured that she never got a good role in a movie again.
