TWO sisters have quit their £25,000-a-year jobs as teachers — because they are better off as Mrs Mopps.
Classroom veterans Kirsty and Fiona Innes made a clean break because they were fed up with yob pupils.
The pair boasted 14 years’ teaching experience between them — but reckon giving their careers the brush-off was the best thing they have ever done.
Mum-of-two Kirsty, 34, who taught languages at Culverhay Secondary in Bath, said yesterday: “We left because behaviour is getting gradually worse in our schools.
“We were living hellish lives and dreaded going to work.”
She also gave the Government a bucketload over increasing paperwork.
Fiona, 27, who taught design and technology at Clarendon College in Trowbridge, Wilts, said of their booming firm Aardvark Cleaning Services: “We have risked everything to set this up but so far it’s been worth it.”
Andy Woolley, of the National Union of Teachers, claimed half of new teachers quit.
He said: “The workload continues to drive many away.”
