Agree with you that they had it coming, but that list of countries; why Palestine at all? Israel is surely top of the list followed closely by the UK. Russia is very anti-west and could be considered an ally to Bin Laden. China WTF, could be anything.

That's why 'getting what's coming' is written the way it is.

Ok, no real responses, let's see if I can state my opinion without being labeled as a baby-killer by certain sections of this board - - -

I am proposing that the reason this event had such a devastating effect in the American psyche is simply because it happened on US soil. A quick look at the last 100 years shows where the wars/attacks/police actions were played out . . . the US involved - for whatever reasons:

WW I
WW II (yes, Hawaii copped a bombing)
Korea
Vietnam
Iraq (Bush sr)
Sudan
Iraq (Bush jr)
Afghanistan
(Then the little ones in Panama etc . . .)

Battles and wars where the US lost many more soldiers/people than 9/11, but the scars of the attack in NY run deeper in the American psyche and has dictated the political direction as 'the end justifying the means'.

Point being that the US sends its forces (again for many reasons) overseas to fight, recently for a bizarre concept called 'democracy' which needs to be brought to societies that have never had it, nor are ready for it.

I am guessing that the above may be a reason for some quarters to have celebrated the attacks. I can only guess because nothing justifies the loss of innnocent lives, be it 9/11 New York and DC nor Baghdad, Kabul etc . . . Anyone who would like to use this thread to suggest otehrwise for their feeble reasons of a lack of ability to discuss issues intelligently can simply get fukked.

The unquestioned loyalty and support for Israel (please try to nail me on this as I am a great believer in the right for Israel to exist in peace and spent time on a kibbutz) is clearly a thorn in the side for not only Palestinians but for the region as a whole.

the yanks were warned, could easily avoid any moslem shit if they did only one thing: stay the fuck off moslem soil!!
i know this is a very simplistic viewpoint, and that there are huge issues, plus reasons the americans need to interfere in the moslem world, but then they should expect retaliation.
why not just be honest:

Seriously though, I doubt it. For all the ranting and raving I see TD as a place where people who are sometimes isolated, through choice or force of circumstance, to interact, vent, explode, or just rip the shit out of fellow TDers who want to do the same.
I find it hard to believe that it'd go beyond that.
