Because they're invariably dumb fucks like you who think that just because they came to Thailand, whored around, ended up with some girl from a poor background who took advantage of them that their situation has to apply to every single other foreigner in Thailand. The concept that you can quite easily come to Thailand and not get involved with the kind of people that would be inclined to rip you off (the same kind of people you'd find in any country) escapes their attention because they're usually completely and utterly thick.
