Love about LOS / Miss about home.

    LOVE

Part time job that pays enough to be comfortable
    No winter
Availability of very spicy food (and amazement of Thai people when I eat it)
Ability to learn a tough language via immersion
Being able to get almost any girl's phone number and more

    MISS

Being able to spend all day outside comfortably
    Complete freedom of job choice
    Common sense and common decency
Familiarity of products and services, which are geared towards me
    Feeling of belonging

Strange. I would have thought you would have missed your family.

Its not in my top 5, due to the existence of the telephone, and the fact that most of the buggers are here at the moment (so I'll see them after work today).

    Care to add yours?

I miss those long bearded fockwit animals (aka mullahs) who'd issue fatwa to anyone who disagree with them.

I miss the cold of home - I hate the heat.

I also miss the bookies, live football, the food, friends + family and not having every fucker stare at you all the time.

Why do all Thais stare at Westerners?

Here are some of the things I miss about Thailand:
Taking naps on cool cement floors on steamy days.
Saturday afternoon strolls through the rubber plantations.
Riding my motorbike down country roads in Satul.
    Sunday volleyball on the beach.
Monsoon rains and storms blowing in from the Gulf of Thailand.

Nongbualamphu is between Udon thani and Khon kean and it is a bit off the beaten track no VB here but I have seen it in Nana for sale but thats a long way to go for a beer

yes that's a big sacrifice you have to make when coming here - nothing like a good old fry up with real bacon, sausages and black pudding... (where's the hungry smiley?)

There's one good place in know in Soi Yamoto, Pattaya called 'The Ritz' - run by an English bloke. It does a good breakfast although not quite as good as the real thing.
