There was the satirical UK cartoon thing - Monkey something that was very funny - Pedohunter General was in it.

American Dad always makes me think of Booners.

My faves would be retro (read old!) as well. The Flintstones, Loony Tunes (esp Foghorn Leghorn), the Jetsons, Scooby Doo (before Scrappy came along).

The old Fred Quimby Tom & Jerry's were my ex-hubby's favourite & because of him, I can usually tell from the artwork if it's a Fred one or not.

I like the Simpsons, Family Guy & American Dad, now. King of the Hill can be OK, but I hate the artwork (hated Beavis & Butthead artwork, too. )



Oh, and (real kids, not adult cartoons) littl'un & I like Ruby Gloom. Especially the title tune.

The Magic Roundabout. Brilliant, not really a cartoon, but of the genre. There are them that would suggest that the Magic Roundabout actually started the whole adult/pretend kids cartoons stuff.
