I've been listening to this all day, I'm hooked.
from the Quentin Tarantino movie grindhouse.
I don't know where he finds these groovy tunes.
The original by some cute French chick from what appears to be the sixties isn't bad either.

Love Quentin Tarantino films and love the music. Inglorious Bastards is in the works with Brad Pitt in one of the major roles, looking forward to it. Green for you.
It's actually fake 60's retro. The track comes from the 1995 Album "Paris in April"
see this wiki entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_March
Cool tune tho. Reminds me a bit of Shonen Knife (the jap 50's rock-n-roll band in Kill Bill #1)

Laisse tomber les filles - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Laisse tomber les filles" is a French song composed by Serge Gainsbourg and performed by France Gall in 1964. April March recorded two covers of the song in 1995: one with the original French lyrics, and another, "Chick Habit," with English lyrics written by March.
oh well, learn something new everday, but the girl in your YouTube clip is April March, and that recording is indeed rate 60's retro. Didn't know it was a Gainsbourg tune tho.
I don't know, if April March was born in 1965 and her FIRST recording of it was in 1995 that would make her at least 30 at the time.
The girl in that vid doesn't look 30.
In fact I believe that is france Gall in 1964 at the age of 17 or 18 (Born 1947)
The video is credited as being her.
ok, thats sounds about right - then maybe the version in the Tarantino film is Aprial March??
Plus the fact that Gainsbourg was a lecherous old coot who only worked with teenagers....
Yeah the film version is April March.
Who wouldn't be. I fell in love when I saw that.Plus the fact that Gainsbourg was a lecherous old coot who only worked with teenagers....
She'd be 61 now though.
