US olympic weight-lifter cheryl haworth



as a kid, haworth struggled somewhat with chronic bouts of allergies, pneumonia and bronchitis etc. according to her mum, sheila, a registered nurse... she ate poorly and was awfully skinny. her health changed, however, at age six, when she had her tonsils & adenoids removed. after the surgery, sheila cooked some mashed potatoes and cheryl scoffed the lot. by age 12, she weighed 240 lbs.
