Not much difference between the flags. A few stars I think -- and the shapes of the stars.

At least the Poms have the decency to wear socks with their sandals.

Ausisie flag has white stars and 6 of them and 7 pointed.

Kiwi has 4 and they're red with a white out line and 5 pointed.

But they both still proudly display our nations flag.

The Kiwis copied the Aussie flag, but as usual they fucked it up a bit.

Ozzies, of course, aren't even allowed into a bar without proper shoes, long pants, a button down shirt and a bow tie and top hat. But for those first few minutes, they sure look nice.

Anyway back to the original point, the Kiwi feather cloak was highly prized by the local indigenous people "Maori", it implies great status because of its rarity because of the difficulty in plucking a Kiwi, mild mannered normally they are a bit of a handful when plucked.
Now days of course the local Maori obtain their great status from owning and operating two or more crack laboratories and driving a large V8 powered vehicle, so that sadly the wearing of the Kiwi cloak is left to tossers who cannot afford proper shoes.

The Aussie uniform this year is just plain Wrong.

Looks like a bloody Japanese factory day out.

To be fair sabang they come to compete and hopefully win medals.

What were you expecting that they all turn up looking like premier league footballer hotshots. There is also a minor recession in Australia at the moment and to deck out them all in Gucci suits would of been inappropriate IMO.

The only thing I can fault is the colour.

Green and Gold is worn by all of our sporting teams- cricket, rugby, soccer, hockey & so on. Oz has a proud sporting tradition- so why should they change it for the 2008 Olympics. Ashamed of wearing the green and gold?

Apart from which, natty Blazers which our Olympians could be proud of in years to come would be far more appropriate than those cheap, 'orrible looking jackets. Akubra style hats rather than cheap looking Yachtie caps too.
