All my cats are either strays who adopted me! - or their offspring !!!

two adults and 3 kittens - at the moment the other adult is, as I type this just starting labour !
Probably have another 4 by this evening !!

Gettin a quotation for getting them all down the vets for the Snip as and when they are old enough !

Mum No 1 is booked in for next Monday !!!

Prices ranged from 900baht per cat - 1400 baht ! - female

400 - 1000 male !!!

Update from the vet, cat is mostly ok, but does have worms, we've bought some medicine, so he should be fine.

The vet (translation from my driver who took him this morning) is that the cat needs to stay in a cage away from the other 2 until he finishes his medicine.

I've found out they have a cat shelter here, not very far from me (but i'll keep this cat here)

there is a indonesian website KucingKita.com but its in bahasa. I think the's an animal shelter over near the ragunan zoo...

Those bare patches look like abscesses that are healing.
They get them from being bitten in catfights usually. Can be very nasty. The skin heals over the puncture wound and a big abscess forms underneath. The hair on the skin falls out as it becomes distended. And then the thing bursts open when the infection eats through the skin. Been through it a few times with my own cats. They can also get a disease known as "Cat AIDS" which is spread by being bitten by an infected cat. If this cat turns out to be a territorial fighter you might want to keep him inside at night.

Re you new cats eyes, -- cats have a third eyelid which comes across from the inside of their eye. When they are sick you will see this membrane quite clearly encroaching across the eye.

Thousands of pet cats in Beijing are being abandoned by their owners and sent to die in secretive government pounds as China mounts an aggressive drive to clean up the capital in preparation for the Olympic Games.
Hundreds of cats a day are being rounded and crammed into cages so small they cannot even turn around.
Then they are trucked to what animal welfare groups describe as death camps on the edges of the city.
The cull comes in the wake of a government campaign warning of the diseases cats carry and ordering residents to help clear the streets of them.

Animal welfare groups in China are already protesting, but their members fear punishment from the authorities.
Officials say people can adopt animals from the 12 cat pounds set up around the city, but welfare groups say they are almost impossible to get inside and believe few cats survive.
One cat lovers' group negotiated the release of 30 pets from one of the compounds in Shahe, north-west Beijing, but said they were in such a pitiful condition that half of them died within days of their release.
"These cats are being left to die. It is very inhumane," said the group's founder Yan Qi, who runs a sanctuary for cats.
