Why did you choose your particular nickname? Does it have a speacial meaning? Or is it something that just popped up at the time of joining?

The thread title made me think of just this.

Maybe we should petition the administrator to include not just a invitation to introduce newbies in the newbie forum but invite them to post replies in a few choice threads like this that seem to crop up once or twice a year.

"Why don't you introduce yourself in the Newbies forum, and while you at it; go ahead and post a rely in the 'Why Did You Pick Your Nick' adn the ever popular, 'I Hate TV Becasue..' threads?"

"if you've married a Bar girl, please post in the 'Bar Girls are People Too' thread. If you've been Fucked over by a Bar Girl there is the equally popular 'All Thai Women are Skanky Hoes' thread.

Dunno these threads are going to continue to pop up from time to time. Perhaps the boredom with them is sayig something more than There is noth8ng new unders the sun, perhaps this boredom is telling me that I spend entirely too much time reading these forums and need to get a fuckin life.

But i like FF's compromise, cos the newbies may not have read the threads and are genuinely interested.

I have the same nickname (and password) everywhere I sign up for mermbership online, very shallow of me I know, but I don't forget it when I visit a site after a long absence. I am in Digital Media by the way, not a journalist, photographer or TV producer - but I do get a few juicy event invites from people who think I am.

Been told its slang or its an old chinese word or something.

Still use the name today when I go into a bar.
