    NRs dog thing.

I've yet to find anybody else on TD, or anywhere else for that matter, that's doing good stuff for something other than themselves..

I've looked at what NR is doing with her dogs. It's very good.

She, and her friends have been doing it for a long time and, in any kind of work of this nature, "perseverance furthers."

I think it should be supported.

I'm suggesting that TC members might like to contribute to the set up.

If DD and NR were agreeable, we could have a penalty system for transgressors of the holy writ that would involve a financial contribution to Headrock.

It's kinda like TD and us all sponsor NR and her place. We adopt it. Why not?

You stuff up, you pay, or you go to jail and oblivion. (bit melodramatic but wtf.)

    What do you think?

p.s. I haven't spoken to NR or DD about this. It just seems like a good idea.

I dunno, there's something about compelling a financial contribution (to anything, I've absolutely nothing against NR and her work and second your notion that she's doing a great job) that doesn't sit easy with me for some reason.

    Perhaps better as an option?

Fair enough, bit I think the objective is for them NOT to be "mangy dogs".

my little angel from NR is far from mangy and the most wonderful, friendly dog to boot.

I'd think donations of dog food could be good.

    I would.

Definately going to get a dog when the boys are a bit older. Probably from the local shelter here to be honest though (again no offence intended to NR, just makes more sense).

Working on it mate. But I don't see why the board (sic) can't adopt a proactive involvement.
    Even in a minor way.

Cool, but we could still help out, trickle feed funds etc.

Well it'll be for them, learn how to care for other things and all that. So bit pointless until they're old enough to understand.

Besides, it's not as though infant twins, 2 cats, and fish aren't enough right now.

Maybe he's a tad more responsible when it comes to dogs than you are?

Thanks, JJ, but really, TD have done so much for my dogs. DD put up a banner on the gardening forum without my knowledge, another member designed my logo for free, others have donated. CMN has adopted one & Dalts will be taking 4. Forreachingme wants to help. Jettie sponsors one etc etc etc. I've had a hell of a lot of support from here.

Dog food donations would be great, for anyone that wanted to help out. If I didn't have to fund the odd bag or two, it'd really help. In the center itself, they're getting through 30kg of dry food a day, so food is always needed.

Thanks for the thought, JJ, I really appreciate the support, but a load of these guys do help, albeit behind the scenes, already.

Well I wouldn't recklessly endanger it's life by chucking it on the back of a pickup and driving at high-speed for a start!*:

    * I'd tie it down, with rope or sumfing.

You'd be in the back of the pick-up and the dog would be in the cab!
