- The slow, sloppy, pretentious, underhand, short-term opportunism, couldn't-give-a-fuck way which most things are done (or never get gone)

- Lying as the easiest and laziest way to make money or fix problems

- The belief in reincarnation and the resulting "if you grin and bear it without complaining this time it'll be better next time around" lazy mai ben rai attitude to life

- Bubble-brained airheads who behave as if their small world revolves around them

- The unfortunate sensation that the only reason many thais behave kindly is to build up a stock of favours

- Parents who retire in their 40s and expect to live off their struggling kids

- No difference between criticism and an insult, or love and money

- Handicapped people expected to beg for a living

- The constant "them and us" differentiating and labelling of foreigners, and common view of foreigners as a means to financial gain

- Flashing car lights means "get out of MY way"

- Pedestrians being expected to give way to car drivers because they are probably poorer

- Inability to use a car's accelerator in a smooth comfortable manner.

- The superficial craving to buy the largest flashiest car possible via years of debt regardless of the practicalities of whether such a car size is needed.

- Buildings constructed to last only one generation.

- Shop assistants that follow and watch you

- Knowing that there is good reason behind 99% of migration between the west and asia in recent history being from asia to the west

- Sinsot - security deposit and materialistic face-building excercise in showing "Look, I could have gone for a soapy every day for a month with this money, but I didn't".
