    *diversion alert*

I used to work in Brixton. I thought it had been cleaned up. Not so?

My Grandmother had a flat there. After I fell over some uneven pavement, and twisted my ankle, I, kind of, lost my affection for the place. I haven't been there for a while so you could be right. Let's say Brick lane market instead.

I thought Brixton market had burnt down?

As for annoyances in Thailand, I guess the only "major" issue I had with living in Thailand was never being able to buy a decent beer.

And as for Thai not paying for things, there were a fuck of a lot of foreigners I meet in Thailand who followed the deep pockets and short arms philosophy of life. Fortunately none that I meet from TD.

For me, it's the constant laziness of the people, no short of initiatives for taking a short cut or not doing your work, or finding an excuse for not doing it

Numerous things that annoy me but not enough grief to make me want to leave.

The only thing I think really anoys me is (and it not the Thais fault) is the fact you can't crab a football and run around in a park for a few hours. Boils your brain and your bollocks. Tennis is bearable for 1 set and golf means sun stroke by the end of the round.

Miss a chilly, brisk sunny morning and I have known people to leave here because of the constant heat. Loved the place but couldn't handle the heat.

Heard its really a nice change to go up north around December. Never tried Changmai at this time of the year. Maybe next cold season.

Since 1982 my worst experiences have been with Thai men & women who are drunk, or who get drunk in my company.

    Sounds like Brixton street market.

Having to back into a shop doorway to allow a bus or truck to mount the pavement.

The sheer stupidity of actually painting a pedestrian crossing on the road.

I do like the way that you can drive the wrong way down the road. Very handy when stopping at street vendors whilst on the motor cycle.

I'll add to this, while you are looking for holes and whatever so you don't trip over it's all too easy to smack your face or head on a sign that has been put up at some stupid height!

And Brixton is still a toilet but an expensive toilet to buy property.
Well, luckily I didn't have any tortoises on me at the time...

Forgot about this one - midnight rolls around and as the rain begins all the power goes out. Without fans in my room I sweat like a mofo so I'm unable to get to sleep until the power gets turned back on.

How about buildings (especially apartment complexes) that open without them being finished? Moved into a new apartment once on the 4th floor. Landlord had failed to tell me that the 5th floor wasn't finished yet. Every morning for months there was drilling and hammering going on. Enough to drive you insane.
