I'm a fan of Beechams flu strength with lemon. It does wonders for a rotten cold, but you can't get that here either. On the rare occasions that I do get a cold here, I go to the Pharmasist and she gives me three lots of pills. One is 'Tiffy', a big yellow tablet. Can't remember the name of the other two, but the Chemist will.

Warm some milk, drizzle some honey into the mug, add 1 shot of brandy into the mug, pour in milk, drink.
My Grandmas recipe, she didnt die with a sore throat so it must have some benefit.

you can either post 33 inane responses to the change a letter thread or google 'emma watson pussy'

Or we could try to get build a century thread about a complete remedy for all the major symptoms of cold and flu, providing effective relief from headaches, fever, sore throat, blocked nose and chesty coughs.

    Decisions, decisions.

I boil sliced galang root for a good 2 or 3 hours, then add that to 2 crushed 500 ml paracetamol, a spoonful of sugar, a big dollup of honey, 3 or 4 teaspoons of lime juice and the juice of sum yung gai (just kidding!). If it's at night I add a rather large nip of scotch.

I keep the galang 'tea' going as long as I'm feeling ill, just adding more water and roots to the pan. The more stewed it is the better.

when the wife first tried lemsip she hated it. Now she will always make the lemon juice/honey concoction.

Looks like there is a market for people unfortunate enough to live in england. Post lemsip to TD members that are not so well.

Good tot of Irish whiskey wedge of lemon studded with cloves brown sugar and hot water. Two or three before going to bed will cure all.
