I must say I'm rather disappointed in this new trend that has become the TeakDoor exodus for those who forgot to don their Teflon overcoat before logging on.

Having had years of abuse from online expats in Thailand I feel more than qualified to make this observation, and the sad part is that it's posters who are generally popular, like Baudhai, Binky, Chintee et al...

Maybe it was really Ant who started it, and I'm surprised he hasn't returned.

Not everybody is the same, fact of life - now if any of you ship jumpers are reading this, stop being a pussy and get back on board with your ship mates because everybody likes you (maybe not you Ant but don't let that put you off).

Yes, everyone is different.

I've never left a forum for more than a week because of getting riled up by someone's comments.

I also think that there are additional reasons that cause a poster to leave.

CT, said he was spending too much time online. BH has had some issues with sensitivity (IMO), and BH also had some anxiety in going outside in his town, and felt anxiety by going to get a haircut and being around other people. I'm not being negative towards BH, but this is a condition, and dealing with a professional, who is qualified is the best course of action.

AntR: yes, he was a character. He got riled up at times.

All 3 posters mentioned above (and kenkannif) are posters that I like.

They all contributed, and I wish they'd return.

You can be a member of many forums but you still have to have one you call home.

It's too schocking to think anyone goes to TV or Ajarn from here.

^ I can seriously tell you that a few posters from TV who came here around the time I was banned couldn't handle the fistycuffs here and haven't bothered to come back.

If everyone can be a little more civilized it would benefit the forums but it always degenerates into slam fests.

I can't start a thread about anything nowadays without it turning into a bunch of bile spouted with the soul intention of making me look like a dickhead. Whether it's for advice with what going on in my life or a harmless bit of fun like my Littlejohn thread, all I get is streams of personal abuse & shouts of loser & scum & all that shite.

If I give a fuck about what any of you thought about me - I'd be gone as well

There's far too many little gangs roaming around TD who delight in putting other people down.

Yes CF: This is the crux of it really...it's nice to have somewhere you can call home...during my tenure here I've got pissed off at things which have been said and done other things for a few days...

It takes a bit more than the likes of KW to worry me, Momo, but the constant polluting of conversations I'm trying to have with my handful of friends on here gets tiring to say the least. I've not had a good banter with the people I like on here for a while because of the likes of him jumping in & starting a shit-fight - closely followed by the usual suspects slapping each-other on the back.

The whole point of the thread gets lost in it all.
