The Baby Cat was killed this morning...

It was bound to happen, the little bugger was doing great, playing and jumping everywhere, getting stronger every day

He loved however to put itself in dangerous situation, hiding behind the car wheels, forcing his way into door path when the door was closing etc...

Last week, I almost run over him as he was laying behind the wheel, and then almost crushed his head when I was closing the front door as it tried to stick his neck in the narrow path of the doorway, out of control. Definitely a Siamese cat.

Anyway, this week, neighbors warn me that the cat like to say behind the wheel of their car, and that they almost crushed him. Tried to keep the cat enclosed, but as the cat was strong and daring, he would jump anything, surprisingly very high for his young age, and would wonder around without fear.

It was question of time, and every morning when I called his name and it would take a few minutes for him to show up, I always thought that was it.

This morning I called his name for more than the usual, and the little bugger didn't show up. I knew that was it. This is when I found his body not moving outside my gate, at the exact same spot his mother left it to me more than one month ago. The car of the neighbor this morning crushed his little skull as he was resting just behind the wheel. Not a pretty sight as you can imagine.

Should have donated him to the shelter immediately instead of keeping it, the place I live is too dangerous for pets, and there are so many that are killed here on the road, it doesn't make sense to keep them.

    RIP poor little Kittie

RIP kitty. I'm sure there in cat heaven he's still glad he hooked up with BF, rather than that dysfunctional Mother who left to him to his fates.

    Freudian slip?
Or were your motives in raising this cat less than kindness.

This is unfortunate. Sorry to hear of the death of any of god's creatures - at least it was quick.

    Is there a photo?

The way I see it is that he had 9 lives, and almost died 8 times in the last 2 weeks, that was the last one this morning,

it was probably written somewhere, so nothing could have been done to save him

its not necessarily the good that die young, but the innocent certainly do !

Why oh why do mangy soi dogs live on, intuitively knowing how to cross a multi lane highway.

Why did this kitty have to die under the back wheels of Butterfly's quattroporte Maserati? Why not some Farang?

Next time throw a rock or use a spray bottle to correct its behavior. It's not like you're going to hurt its feelings.

Sad to hear of such things, but unfortunately similar incidents must be happening thousands of times a day all around Bangkok. Those animals too trusting or fearless usually end up in an early end.
Still, I think this unnatural culling in the cities is producing a more urbanized breed of animals. I was amazed to see how street smart some of the soi dogs were in Bangkok. They would watch the traffic both ways before crossing and methodically move between lanes as a break occurred. There was this old blind soi dog lived near our hotel. He knew his way around the place quite well.

Nonsense. You did the right thing in keeping him. Don't blame yourself. Could have happened anywhere. Sorry to hear kitty is gone.

^^ those nasty soi dogs never seem to get hit, they sleep on the side of major traffic lanes, with their legs outside on the road, and yet they never get hit, no matter how close those cars are.

In the defense of my neighbor, he did check the car this morning, but the cat wouldn't leave, going around and hiding behind the car. When he thought everything was clear after taking a look, he drove off, running over him. Apparently the cat wasn't scared of the running car, and would just stay around. This happened before, so no surprise.

Reminds me of a documentary following the lives of some cubs.

I got really into it. watching them develop and grow. they all had names and different personalities.

As they grew they became bigger and stronger.

then in the last five minutes another fucking lion or cheetah ate them.

I was gutted. Had a little cry to myself.
