The only ethnic group thats normally possible to socialize with are the Indians, who by and large are good company.
Personally I couldn't live there again, would far prefer to go back home.
For me Malaysia's biggest problem is that its dead boring, the people are boring, the social scene is boring although must say the food is great.
Granted That the education system is far far better than Thailand.
That's my impression too. Only place 'round there that's even more boring is Singapore.
I was bored shitless in KL when I lived there 3 years ago. The wife (Thai) had to do visa runs every month and immigration were always so rude and gave her so much shit she always hated it. I got the impression that immigration hate Thai's living in Malaysia. Once I had to pay on the border 3000 baht or they wouldn't let her back in. Good excuse to leave her behind but never did.

I was pretty lucky with my education, private school and all that, and then the idea was to retire at 25 26 for a few years, which was okay but got real boring, but hell, I got to do the best i can for my son and that aint gonna be done in the land of fokwitts, so he finishes college at 17, fok me how many kids get into college at 15, the boy is bright, then it is time for him to do a degree or 2, Thailand aint the country for him to waste his time in.

It is a bit rough on the Poms acclimatizing to the new culture as we expect them to take a shower every day.

I was bored shitless when I stayed there and that was less than a week. Plus I don't think they're smarter than the Thais. I mean they built the tallest building in the world and put the viewing platform only halfway up. What was the point?

I seem to be the only person in the world that likes Malaysia even all my friends don't like it there, the only bad point about Malaysia is a shortage of pretty prostitutes, jees, everybody I know is too old to be having sex anyway so I can't see that as being a problem for them, the food choice is better and cheaper there than Thailand, rents are only slightly higher, the level of driving skills is 20 times higher, I crashed into the back of some morons car this afternoon, I nipped down the supermarket on the bike to pick up some booze, some idiot pulled out on me and then stopped in the middle of the road that had no traffic on it, skidded into the back of his nice shiny car, some arab looking idiot got out so I just drove off, cant be bothered dealing with these morons in Pattaya.

I have to agree that Malaysia is one least exciting places to be though I have had Malay Indian friends who have been great company; though they are disillusioned about Malaysia too.

I worry about job secuirity in Thailand and of course my son becoming a fokwit, I personally would look at Aus or preferably NZ if I was to move again for work.

I have no intentions of returning to the UK unless it is the last choice, God forbid.

No it was a proper high end school in Bexley where all the nice clean people live, my ex school chums are probably running the UK by now, it was that high end, another good reason not to go back to the UK if those idiots are in charge

Jizzy you are just some northern scum that has no ideas about the lovely Kent countryside I just had a great idea actually anyone from Northern England has to have the user name "Northern Scum" and then a number after their name, we can also do this with the Aussies and Americans seems to sort out a few problems real quick

Although I have to admit I did see 3 black people in bexley heath just before I left, probably drug dealers, Do you remember that Black African football team, the guy that scored goals and run round the corner post, had like a semi English name, fok this was 20 years ago nearly, I wqas in a pub in Essex and they were all chanting "You Black Bastard", fok he was good but we were embarrassed.
