He isn't, of course his family is going to want to help him though. However, the usually claims they make like "it's inhumane" and "it's not fair" are just rubbish, he knew the rules and now hes paying for it.

I didn't sign his petition, I don't see why he deserves preferential treatment over the hundreds of other people there who are already in a much worse situation than he is.

March 2005 was before the 'drugs war' though wasn't it? Price was still 100 baht a pill then. I guess he could have shifted them for more though, enough to cover his debt.

Silly mistake, and I hope the lad gets out sooner, which no doubt he will because the King's pardon will probably come through for him.

To sign the petition though? In all honestly, not sure I even care enough. Like Madjbs said, plenty of people in prison, why should this guy be singled out for better treatment.

On the other hand, doesn't take much of my time to do so, and it could make a big difference not only to his life (which I'm too bothered about) but his family in the UK who must be in absolute agony with the guy locked up in Thailand like this. Unfortunately it's those people who are taking the real punishment.

Thinking and research dont seem to have been high up on his list of things to do. Anyone who accepts the offer of taking a package/case whatever without checking whats in it isnt that much of a forward thinker.
