Jarvis on a regular basis threatens to hit, slap or 'do me' in my reputation points or by PM.

I don't take it very seriously especially having seen the photos of him. Whoever photoshopped out the zimmer frame did a good job.

It got me thinking though. Would you ever deck a poster from an Internet board for posting about something you didn't like or for insulting you?

There have been reports in various newspapers of people being assaulted over online games and I believe one kid in Vietnam was tracked down and beaten up after he killed a player and stole his sword on World of Warcraft (NickA beware).

So the question is.

What would it take for you to smack a member of an Internet forum? Or to arrange for him/her to have an accident?

Are there too many people out there taking this far too seriously or have these virtual worlds of asynchronous communication taken over from real pubs and social clubs and stepping outside is now a real threat.

I've received several threats of bodily harm and have been shunned by people who I thought were friends.

As a result, I no longer go out to expat hangouts or associate with other farang.

I pretty much don't trust anyone anymore.

That's why you give no personal info. I did once and got slapped in the face.

Trying to keep it on track Knobber, what would be the point where you had to go and find and beat a member of a forum?

I actually thought there was a forum policy about threatening people. Not sure if I imagined that or if it is being enforced.

That's about stalking on here, I am after the point where either real physical harm is caused or somebodies life is fucked up.

Take Machagenzi and whoever it was who fucked him over at his old place of work.

I would certainly deck one cvnt with no hesitation (not from TD) who my wife and I gave consirdable help to, even lent him 60k, which he never paid back.
When I called him a hypocrite because he was telling everyone what thieving cvnts Thais were, the only way he thought he could hurt me was slagging my wife off. Gutless piece of shit, he had to move back to OZ, but I keep an eye on information about him, if I knew he was back here I would make the trip to BKK just to deck the fat useless piece of shit.

Stalking usually leads to physical harm, eventually

it builds up, physical threats and stalking shouldn't be allowed on any board IMO

Because he was caught out, he was posting these stories about how his GF's were thieving off him so I pointed out that he was no paragon of virtue having had me and others help him out when he was down on his luck and then making no effort to repay them, in fact boasting that that he spent the money on whores.
He didn't like that at all.
