"Hey! Take off that tie!"
I've pretty much worn a tie ever since I started high school, so it is getting up near 30 years now. I've pretty much got used it. I don't even think about it.
I don't much give a shit if someone chooses to wear a tie or chooses not to wear a tie. Up to you.
But I can't count the number of times some dick has said something like "Hey! Take off that tie!" the second they feel a tie is no longer essential.
What is it with that?
Is whipping the tie off some kind of middle-class, white collar gesture of rebelious defiance?
"Hey, John Howard sucks! But no, I'm not going write a letter to the newspaper or my local MP...I'm not going to slap stickers all over the back of my car...I'm not going write a letter to the newspaper or my local MP...I'm not going to join the Labour Party...I'm not going march in the streets...I'm not even going on a hunger strike. This is much more serious. I'm taking off my tie!"
Tossers....
