If I am out drinking after work, I tend to remove my tie at some point duing the evening, but I have never felt any pressure to do so, and if anyone had said anything I think I would have kept it on in spite.
Just wondering - how many of you guys slagging off ties are wearing gold necklaces, bracelets or rings (marriage rings don't count) when you go out? Or colouring/perming your hair? Hell, there are even guys out there using make-up nowadays.....
