    What is This?

I had a very busy time at the Canton Trade Fair over the weeked but returned to HK with a high fever, spots all around my neck and generally feeling off.

They (doctors) say it's an allergic reaction to something. It's like spreading so a little worried, can you get chicken pox or any childhood diseases at this age?

There is a measles outbreak reported in Europe (and no it doesn't take only kids):

"Initial biological analyses seems to suggest the strain of measles in question entered Austria from neighboring Bavaria, where some Rudolf-Steiner-Schule Salzburg students live. The strain is believed to have originated in Thailand and moved to Bavaria from Zurich, Switzerland, Hrabcik said, cautioning that final results won't be available for some time.
In an effort to curb the number of infections, Salzburg schools will now require students to prove they have been inoculated or that they previously had the disease. If students refuse to be vaccinated, they could be barred from classes, Hrabcik said.
Once a scourge of children in Europe, measles spreads very easily, jumping from person to person through droplets emitted in sneezing or coughing. It is one of the most contagious diseases known, according to the World Health Organization."

sounds like the rash this guy on the ultimate fighter broke out with.
    it's a form of herpes i think.

can be brought on by stress.

    nothing to worry about.

Dengue has fever and red dots but I'm not sure if the dots appear everywhere at once or spread out from where the mosquito bit you.

I reckon I'd take them all in less than a round.

I am alergic to lots of things. Check out the anti-histamines at your local pharmacy. If it spreads a lot, I suggest going back to the Doc. It might not be serious but you don't want to take the risk.

Are the spots only on your neck? If so, could be an allergy. New perfume? Or washing powder - did you use the hotel laundry?
Not usual to get a fever with an allergy, but it could be you got flu or something at the same time. Are you generally stressed or run-down at the mo? Is the rash itchy? Any 'heads' on the spots (indicating infection)?

Chicken pox is rife where I live and also manifests it's self as Shingles if you had it as a child.

    Yes.
Get tests done if symptoms persist.

Naughty boy, alas you are not responsible for my weird rash, apparently I'm allergic to my friend's dog, some flea powder they put on his coat (it's an Old English Sheepdog puppy).
Had all the allergy tests done and that's what they came up with phew. The fever is not related just some virus,so taking it easy next few days, plenty of water and rest.

    Thanks for the advice all.
